What specific guidance is there about utilizing the three buttons located on the sleeve of the BDU?
Written by Josh on August 13, 2009 – 1:00 pm -There are three buttons on each sleeve of woodland BDU. There is the personal direction of direct subordinates to use only the center key. Let me know if there are specific information out there about why and when to use the first, second and third button. Some reasons are obvious, but I would like to get some references on this subject if possible. Thank you.

I think it is the commander 's discretion to exclude when out in the field. Generally, in cold weather or at night I keep my button closer, to keep heat in or keep out hampers. During the CAT 5 of heat must be sbottonato and trousers unbloused and I believe that a heatCAT 4 said to be on the button. I don 't think I' the VE ever seen it in AR 670-1, but if there 'register of SA on the uniform, it 's going to be there.

I never saw or heard about an adjustment in over 9 years of service reserves and the active wear and the appearance of the upper part of the BDU regarding button settings or sop the cuff.
