Does the FMCSA have its own special agents or law enforcement officers?

Yesterday I saw some carry the BDU uniform with the insignia sewn afederal above. The backof that their shirts have said FMCSA, what is this? and federal agents?

They are the agents of the Federal Security Management Carrier engine. They are responsible for safe transportation of hazardous materials, safety of bus and truck, and so on.

Those were probably FEDSA, but many are local officials. We have a team formed by officers from several departments in our county (Montgomery, PA) as well as our neighboring county.
